This acrylic painting on a 16 by 20 inch stretched canvas is painted in an impressionistic style.  It could have much more detail, but life is short and I like it they way it is.  The chainsaw represents faith, as does the nun, the brush behind her, the act of painting, and the very day of the week in which it was posted online-Sunday.  This is a nice painting, devoid of pancakes.  It isn't that I refused to include pancakes; as an act of faith they simply didn't happen. That doesn't mean they do not exist within the image..they may be within the brush or the nun, or perhaps tucked away neatly inside of another oncoming hurricane. The style of this image is very fluid, which is a change of pace from a number of more rigid paintings which I have been developing, most involving Prince.  I have spent most of the past year and a half painting Prince; it has been a journey.

For the past year I've largely taken a break from contemporary painting, instead focusing on painting many portraits of Prince, as I live relatively close to Paisley Park. It has been and continues to be a very fulfilling experience.
