Happy New Year / Gerald Ford / Behold, I Make All Things New

Happy New Year cartoon 2007, Gerald Ford, Behold, I Make All Things New

A second New Year's cartoon in progress; this one for the regulars at a forum called Portal Of Evil (adult content) which has a 1700 comment thread on Faithmouse going back a few years, and to which I'm now contributing adult-oriented faithmouse cartoons not appropriate to this site. The toon on POE will update as I work on it until New Year's Day, at which time a completed version will probably find its way back here.

The intended theme of this cartoon (featuring a former president Gerald Ford mask) can be found in Wednesday's A Christmas Greeting linked article.

McClatchy Company Dumps Catholic-Bashing StarTribune at a Half-Billlion-Dollar Loss to Corporate Speculators

'The Catholic-Bashing Star Tribune, thirty years without a Pulitzer prize, doesn't seem to have much appeal to its recent owner, the California based giant conglomerate, the McClatchy Company. McClatchy has decided after the the "Red Star" showed its true colors on its editorial page with a vicious attack on the Catholic Church, to dump the paper at a $500,000,000 loss...'

Jesus Christ to Be Honorary King of Poland

a faithmouse Christmas cartoon collection

Thanks to Alan Keyes' Renew America for posting a few recent cartoons, including the Stop The ACLU / Copy Machine and most recent Terri Schiavo toon. Pookie18 has added a few toons to his recent Today's Toons threads at Free Republic. Kee-Zeng had added the Neverborn Bad Ass For Life toon to his Kee-Zeng Asiantown page. Thanks to Clyde at Aha! Clyde's been thinking again! (od glorium Dei et bonum hominal) for adding faithmouse to his 'Sunday Funnies' cartoon page. The most recent Terri Schindler Schiavo toon has been posted by Stone Giant to this Glock Talk board. Watidatga posts an older Neverborn toon at this nordic Flevo Festival forum. [~`lil-jordan`~] posts the Neverborn / Bad Ass For Life toon on Gaia Online. Red Guy on Brunchma posts a thread titled Faithmouse, Cuddle with the Wrath! and links to a older cartoon from 2004. RedtheBlue (must be the same fellow) posts a Neverborn image on his site along with a link to faithmouse beneath the admonition Prepare For Pain. The Neverborn / Bad Ass For Life toon (popular) shows up on this Perle0508's German Jappy page. Sandusch at Jappy posts the same. Jordanlewis posts the uncompleted IN YUR CULTURE toon (I decided I just liked Eddie Lumox's from Portal Of Evil's version more) on this Skate Perceptions board (adult content.) Thanks to Fracas for the post of the It's The Season For The Reason toon. A private forum at Walk Club has the 12 Days Of Christmas toon from last years a faithmouse Christmas series, which you can view at the Christmas Collection link at the start of this post. Carolina Cannonball at The Crescat links to faithmouse in her post plugging Paul Nichol's new Catholic Cartoon Blog. All the best to him. Ray at our own Stella Borealis Catholic Roundtable posts the St. Paul Cathedral Christmas card.

Santa Claus Is Catholic

Until I can get around to a few revisions on the cartoon below I'll go ahead and call this one completed (for example, I'd like to have the Monstrance Mobile emanating from a specific place.) If you'd like to post this on your blog, it won't change significantly from what you see here-

New toon featuring Ms. StarMole's nephew Chauncy:world scout, in addition to B16, Vatican Kitty, and their new Monstrance Mobile. Haven't drawn a toon with Chauncy since last April's Are You For The Eighty-Sixed? Pope Benedict XVI will be dressed here in the traditional camauro.

Official Christmas Card From The Cathedral of St. Paul, Minnesota

Merry Christmas card from the Cathedral of St. Paul, St. Paul, Minnesota
Click above to view larger image. Largest.

The official Christmas card from the Cathedral of St. Paul, St. Paul, Minnesota.
The greeting, as printed on the back-
CHRISTMAS AT THE CATHEDRAL OF SAINT PAUL
The staff members of the Cathdral of St. Paul are serious about our Catholic Faith-but joyful in living it out! Our impressive place of worship can sometimes seem overwhelmingly grand...and so we thought that you might appreciate a touch of down-to-earth humanity in this Christmas greeting. We hope that it may make you smile and feel more at home in our spiritual family. As we are able to laugh at our own occassional silliness, so we are more willing to put with one another's imperfections.
May this season of joy unite us in a deeper communion of love as we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ!
-followed by a small picture of two more priests wearing santa claus hats.
As former residents of St. Paul, Chris and I used to be members of the Cathedral, and we kept our membership until earlier this year and the Father Altier / Archbishop Flynn fiasco, at which time we decided it was time to move on. Obviously we're still on the Cathedral's mailing list, which is why we received this card.
Judging by the humorous mis-use of scripture on the card front, I would guess they are not all pretending to be the original St. Nikolaus, Bishop of Myra.
