Today's painting was created specifically for a local Comedy Club where I thought I had a pre-arranged invitation to make an unvieling, but upon arrival I was told that I could have five minutes in a month and a half. In lieu of waiting I have instead chosen to make this presentation to you, my loyal and long-time online audience.
Enjoy.
A 24 by 30 inch acrylic and oil painting on stretched canvas of Brett Favre poised on a unicorn and holding a pigskin which looks sort of like local sportswriter Sid Hartman.

Two New Michael Jackson Paintings
I've been sick for a few days, but I'm feeling a little better and trying to catch up on a number of obligations.

Barack Obama Replacement Pancake Painting
Barack Obama Replacement Pancake- Ebay Art Auction
Painted as a replacement for a previous painting of Barack Obama with a pancake on his head that I thought was lost, but was then rediscovered. This is a larger 8 by 10 version of the previous painting. The pancake is larger also.

Michael Jackson Roar Two Painting
Michael Jackson Roar Two Painting- Ebay Art Auction
This painting is very similar to an MJ portrait I painted a month or so ago. It was painted as a replacement painting for an Ebay buyer in Great Britain who didn't know that their portrait was being held by Customs.
For this and other reasons I'm pretty unsatisfied currently with US portal delivery to England. I'll probably change over to some other service for mailing overseas, perhaps FedEx.

Today
Mancow painting, restarted.
Someone just interviewed me from a radio station in Oregon, but it came and went so quickly I'm not sure who it was.
My computer is full of art and keeps crashing, which is irritating. It shouldn't be this difficult to transfer large PDF files onto disk.

BeckieLou's comparison of her painting with original photo.
Thanks to British comedian Stephen Fry who recently twittered one of my Obama unicorn paintings.
I'm painting an Obama unicorn painting on the theme of Mancow who interviews me tomorrow, but I decided I didn't like the first version, so I'm trying it again. The first version seemed a bit snarky, which wasn't what I was going for. I can't get his program in my area, and all I know about the fellow is that he conceeded to be waterboarded, which I admire.

I like this thead about my work on Reddit, and particularly this comment-
Dan is an ex-conservative, kinda: Simplifying greatly, he lost his faith in political conservatism when the cons went apeshit over some of his work. He's greatly influenced by Robert Crumb, whose inspiration may ultimately be difficult to fully integrate into a modern political conservative perspective. Crumb's influence shows up a lot more in his Faithmouse comics, which have ranged from pro-life Catholic themes to some very naughty NSFW romps.
I like his Faithmouse comics a lot, especially after Dan started to expand beyond his original conservative mission and explored themes like the sexual fantasies of gay Catholic clergy, Faithmouse's naughty sister, etc. Dan doesn't do much Faithmouse now; his pop culture paintings (pancakes, naked Obama, etc.) are so popular, I guess he doesn't have much time for the comic. A shame, 'cause his comic is a lot more interesting than his paintings. I would link to some examples, but Dan doesn't make much of his best work easily viewable by the general public.
Faithmouse is the best thing I've ever done. It helps to look at the entire run of the cartoon instead of individual strips to appreciate it.
Beckie's Wall Of Obama, with eight of my paintings.
I'm developing a stage piece which utilizes my paintings. I approached our local Minneapolis Acme Comedy Club but they have yet to respond to my inquiry. It would be sort of a prose/poetry rendition, accompanied by pictures of Barack Obama Nude On A Unicorn.

Free Republic & Democratic Underground Pancakes
Free Republic and Democratic Underground forum pancakes. I need to do a little more detail work on this painting before posting it to Ebay.
I would like to apologize for the Ann Coulter Burning Pancake Bra painting in the previous post. I'm taking this monstrosity on a long working car drive today; it will either return in better condition or I'll leave it in a lake.

This And That
Four paintings in progress-
From upper right: A 70's 'Sears' style family portrait commission, a portrait of Michael Jackson which I'll put up for auction on Ebay, a commission of Buddy Christ with a pancake over His head, and a a portrait of John Ritter, also by commission. Currently I'm asking 75 to 125 for a 5 by 7 inch portrait, with or without pancake, depending upon the complexity of the painting.
I put aside yesterday's unicorn painting and decided to work on a previous unicorn painting instead. I bought some expensive high opacity lead white paint yesterday, and was curious to see how well it would cover darker underpainting. Well worth the price.
The blogpost of my Comedy Central painting at Tosh.0 is closing in on 900 comments.
One of my favorite painters is Chib.

Thanks, All 250 Or So Of You
I very much appreciate the posts. 250 is roughly the number of sites which have posted regarding my paintings during the past few days. The unicorns actually went viral a day before the Comedy Central show, starting with a post on Wild Ammo.
Just for the record, I've mentioned in the past that the Universal Health Care Obama Unicorn portrait was a commission from a goon on SA; his name is Daniel Wood. He's the person who originally dreamed up the concept of the painting. Kudos to Daniel.
Also, the painting of Obama leading the woman on the horse was a commission as well. The identity of the rider is confidential, hence the identity-hiding flare which doesn't appear on the original painting.
Something I don't think I've ever mentioned on this blog or anywhere else online is that I do quite a lot of painting in my car-
I do this out of necessity, just because time is always at a premium. My wife doesn't mind driving since she usually needs to be in the car at the same time anyway. Here I am starting a new Obama unicorn-
Once I develop the acrylic underpainting I'll apply a few layers of water based and/or highly pigmented oils, both of which dry quickly. I've painted a large number of my oil-based pancake paintings completely on the road, using as an easel a large styrofoam board (never know when the airbags might go off) and an empty pill bottle for thinner. The more detailed unicorn paintings are finished at home. Minnesota's roads expand and crack in the winter and need extensive repatching in the summer. Makes it harder to paint unicorn eyelashes.
The drive was to the Minnesota Rennaissance Festival site, where Chris had a wedding to perform at. The festival isn't happening yet but you can still rent the site for weddings and such-
The Renfest wedding. Chris used her celtic harp, which was appropriate-

When the wedding was concluded we visited 'Lady Kate's rock,' named after her persona-
I've been asked by a gallery in Thailand to contribute up to three unicorn paintings for an upcoming show. Not sure if the painting I started today will be one of them or not, but with this request and all of the recent interest in my paintings I'll be ramping up unicorn production during the next few weeks.
