Trololo Zombie Painting / Eduard Khil Critically Ill

A zombie painting I did last year of the Trololo man Eduard Khil, who I am sad to say is critically ill in a Russian hospital following a stroke-



From what I understand, Eduard was honored but also irritated by the renewed attention he had garnered via his online celebrity, as he suspected he was actually being laughed at as much as enjoyed.  Well, that's unfortunate.  Many excellent actors have progressed to careers as comedians, and Mr Khil's unintended success I think was comparable.

I gave this painting to a fan as a gift last year. Happy to repost this today as a $20 ebay print, which also included free shipping and a complimentary refrigerator magnet featuring the same image-

I've noticed that curiosity regarding a painting of Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper in the nude and in the pose of Manet's Olympia is causing some activity in my stats, mainly from people searching for pictures of Stephen Harper nude which I am in the uncomforable position of not having. I apologize for the oversight. I ordered your Obama Healthcare print for my boyfriend's birthday a couple years ago after we saw your work featured on Tosh.0, since he's a doctor and I thought he'd like it. I wasn't completely sure where he'd want to hang it and half expected him to put it on the bathroom wall, but he loved it so much he hung it on the kitchen wall. Since then, we've given his Berkeley law professor brother a copy of the same print and recently, for an anniversary present, I gave him a Chairman Meow print (he loves cats). It really helped complete our kitchen wall triptych of fearless leaders. (I'd found a painting of Kim Jong Il as a centaur in a catalog and gave it to him last Christmas.)

Just wanted to share a picture of a couple of your prints on a kitchen wall in Baltimore and tell you how much we (and all of our guests) love them!

I thought you would appreciate these. This is my girlfriends son with a giant pancake. He couldn't pull it off but gave it a good try.

I took my nephews there and told them if they could eat one pancake i would buy them a pony. When the pancakes came out, my nephew dropped his head and said "Im never gonna get a pony".

Obama Gay Marriage Pancake Painting Ebay Art Auction

Obama is posed before a roughly rainbow colored background, which clues us that the portrait may have something to do with Gay cultural issues.  Echoing this, the face is modeled with a variety of colors both warm and cool in tone, which seem to be applied over more subdued and natural colors.  The colors aren't integrated well on the face but attempt to compliment the background.  There seems to be an attempt to paint something 'modern' over a very traditional portrait.  Obama wears a high white collar, bordered by a red/conservative background color on one side, and blue/liberal on the opposite where it is lower. On the pancake is a shape made of butter and syrup which suggests a stringed musical instrument; a guitar, or perhaps a violin.   The neck of the 'guitar' drips thickly downwards and closely misses Obama's one open eye. The drip makes some effort to make a connection with Obama, and in doing so forms a sort of handle but nearly creates a problem with the President's vision. The drip seems to rest on Obama's eyelashes...will he blink?
  
This portrait is symbolic of President Obama's difficulty in supporting and now surviving his decision to support Gay marriage.

John Travolta Nude Breakfast Pancake Painting Ebay Art Auction

A portrait of the great actor John Travolta resting on a massage table and with very large breakfast sausage and pancakes which are smoking hot (please note that the sausage is NOT in a erect state.) Resting on John's shoulder is one of his hairpieces. We can just see the top of a Scientology symbol hiding beneath the table on the right side of the painting. John seems concerned about being 'revealed' but he does nothing to conceal either his hairpiece or his breakfast. The smoke (where there is smoke, there is fire) is painted with silver, symbolic of both wealth and the color of increased age, and the circular shape of the smoke evokes John's holistic Chakratic nervous energy which splits into two directions at the top of the flume, representing his dual sexual nature and perhaps resultant confusion.
