Chaim / L'Shanah Tovah! (For Rosh Hashanah)

A cartoon for Rosh Hashanah featuring Chaim, our Orthodox Israeli schoolboy. L'Shanah Tovah is an abbreviation of L'shanah tovah tikatev v'taihatem (May you be inscribed and sealed for a good year).
Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish New Year and marks the beginning of the Jewish High Holy Days, a ten day period of reflection and casting away of sins, culminating with Yom Kippur-the Day Of Atonement.

Dear Dan, I've been an on-again off-again reader of Faithmouse for a while now. The other day I was taking a more thorough browse of your archives, to check out all the toons I missed. After having a thorough look, I just thought I should email you with some official words of praise.
I'm actually an editorial cartoonist myself. My name is J.J. and my site is www.filibustercartoons.com. I'm a Canadian Catholic, in fact I just got back from church! So let's just say I can appreciate your cartoons on two distinct levels. You are a very creative and talented person, and I hope you continue to share your gifts with the rest of us. Specifically, I hope you one day release a BOOK of your cartoons. I am sure it would be a hot-selling item!

The cartoon above features a spot of my Shar Pei abortion doctor character, who first appeared in an unfinished cartoon on this site in November of 2006. I've revived the character for the McAbortion cartoon, which is taking a little longer to complete than planned (having a hellacious head cold has slowed the process as well).
Nice day here in Minnesota, but I hear winter's coming...

Favorites 02/06 - 09/07
I'm not the best choice to edit a gallery of my own work (very biased) but I think I've succeeded in creating an entertaining interactive skyscraper out of 341 of my previous cartoons. Enjoy.
At best, it's an indefinitive compilation-still needs tweaking. Some files I can't find, many I never did get around to posting, and others make me cringe upon rediscovery... hit the road, Jack! A few sketches and panels to unfinished cartoons are included here just to remind myself that they still exist and I should get around to completing them one year. Hey, it's a less cluttered place to shove them than my desktop. Many offsite cartoons aren't included here as well; you can find many of them at POE, which you may wish to visit just to view the photos of the giant Neverborn costume I'm creating at the Neverborn Comes Alive thread (progress slowed due to the original Faithmouses' recent gallbladder surgery, which she came through triumphantly).
I've also removed the links to a number of my side panel archive galleries, including the prayer, abortion, pro-military, Terry Schiavo and John Paul II cartoon galleries. Critics of the cartoon shouldn't take this as a sign that I've taken a turn against the military, prayer or Terry Schiavo. I'll repost these galleries as soon as I can afford them a proper update.

Stop The ACLU Ferret
Today's Stop The ACLU cartoon is still in progress, but here's a preview image. I'll post the completed cartoon sometime later this evening...
On second thought, it's not too bad. My revised cartoon featured the ferret toting a large sack of crosses, bibles, religious statues, etc while peering deviously out of a similar big red NO. Think I'll save that unposted toon for a rainy day.
